Center researchers offer array of courses during MIT's Independent Activities Period
Ellen Hume, Chris Csikszentmihalyi, Nadav Aharony, and Henry Jenkins will each host courses during this winter's Independent Activities Period, a time between fall and spring semesters that anyone at MIT can enroll in, or even teach, a class.
Hume will teach Good Morning and Good Luck: The Obama Administration and the Media, while Csikszentmihalyi and Aharony will together run Call for Action! Mobile Technologies for Activism, a four-day intensive seminar on mobile phones and activism.
And, while not part of the civic media offerings, Henry Jenkins will continue an MIT tradition with the 18th Annual Salute to Dr. Seuss, an evening of readings, discussions of their relationship to modern art and pop culture, and a screening of Dr. Seuss' The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T.
